well it depends what you want to do with the degree. i dont know much about chemical engineering, but i do know much of the science "grunt work" is being exported to other countries like China and India. tehre are a variety of CS degrees. if you were to go for one i would go for a CS degree in software design. your job probably wont be exported as fast like some of the other jobs that are and both of those jobs will be alotttt harder than what your tech teacher is teaching right now.
