    They aren't technically a scam, but the chances of you being able to make any money at all is very very slim. They make you buy your own demo knives up front, then expect you to go out there and find all your own clients and book your own demos, and pressure the people you give demos for to buy your knives and give up the names of their friends so you can try to hound them into doing a demo too. At the end of the day, the vast vast majority of people end up not being able to book demos and so they never even make back the money they spent on their original demo knives. You're better off flipping burgers at McDonalds - then you can at least guarantee you'd be making money.

I work at Vector right now. And you ARE guarateed money, if you set appointments, and depending on what office you apply at, like mine for example, the manager will LEND you the starter demo kit, but yes some of the offices make you buy it for over $100, but, IT IS NOT A SCAM. Instead of asking on yahoo answers, why dont you go to a government owned website like betterbusinessbureau.org and look at LEGIT reviews and stuff. Vector has been in business since 1981, so can they really scam people for THAT long without getting caught by the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, no. So check out LEGIT websites, and maybe try the job yourself and then come back on here.
