The latest version of windows live messenger?

How do i know if iam using the latest version of windows live messenger?

  • for yahoo messenger, you can check for updates from the tools dropdown, so i update it every month, but i dunno how to check for updates for windows live messenger??

  • Answer:

If you sign into your Windows live messanger account and go to your e-mails, there will be a message somewhere on the screen saying something like "you are currently using a old version of Windows Live Messanger...". This message will only display if you are using the old one, if it is not there then it must mean it is up to date. Hope this helps.

hi go to the toolbar help about there you will find the version your are using if you want to update .. go to http://www.live.com ☆«ђคשє ค ภเςє ๔คу»☆ ☆´¨) . ¸.•´ ¸.•*´¨) ☆.(¯`•.•´¯) (.¸.•´ (¸.•` ☆ ¤º.`•.¸.•´ ☆ρคιкєค ¸.•*¨)☆™☆

There is no auto update on option to enable on LiveMessenger that I can see. I think it auto updates by itself, but if you want to be sure you have the latest version do this: On the live messenge tool bar click Help>About Messenger and you will see a version and build number. Then visit the following link to see what version and build is currently available: http://messenger-support.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!8B3F39C76A8B853F!3772.entry I know that the final version of 8.5 was released on November 6th 2007 and that version 9 is currently in development.
