About their worries: *Make a plan now for how you'll get social interaction. Look up homeschooling support groups. Take up a sport that is *outside* school (dance/martial arts etc) *It can be cheap or expensive. You can use the internet and other courses. But before you start, know your parents' budget. Include in it extracurricular activities. See above. You can't entirely say those are all about homeschooling, but they are a part of homeschooling. One person's cheap is another's expensive. *Start showing them NOW with how you research the topic and how you do your school work until you come to an agreement how you are self-motivated. Don't whine. Come prepared with lots of info. I recommend *against* homeschooling blogs and opinion spots. As a parent, I like more concrete info. Two sites that might be helpful are: http://hslda.org and http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/ . They offer lots of helpful current links and aren't moms/kids saying how wonderful they are. It's more concrete help/studies etc.
