I have a Samsung HDTV and the Samsung home theater system. How to I get tv sound out of my surround sound?

    There are two ways I can think of to get TV sound out to your speakers. 1) If you have your cable plugged directly into the TV then you should look at our in/outputs for digital audio out. It'll probably be in the form of optical or rca. You would then run the appropriate cable to the TV input on your receiver. This, of course, would only give you 2-chanel audio. 2) If you have a cable box (doesn't have to be digital cable but digital cable would give you full 5.1 chanel audio) then you can run both video and audio out from the cable box into your receiver and then just a monitor out cable (either HDMI or Component, whichever your receiver and TV support) to your TV. This would give you the best quality of sound to your speakers.
