What to do after studying in Germany?

What are the pros and cons of pursuing a Masters in Computer Science or related Engineering branches in Germany vs. studying similar branches in US?

  • Germany (or any European country), where fees is considerably less given that university features in World's Top 50 list ?

  • Answer:

In the US, you'd be better hooked in to the tech scene in Silicon Valley, Washington, New York, as well as other smaller markets like Pittsburgh. At the moment there's a bit of a talent crunch, so it'll make finding employment easier. Also, the companies that are famous for their working conditions (Google, Qualcomm, FB, etc.) are almost all based out of the USA, so it'll ultimately lead to a more enjoyable career for you.

I am not trying to oppose the below comment, but from the statistics and facts. in terms of investing and outcome. To study in Germany, you will end up spending not more than 15L even with a luxurious life. People have also finished with 8L if they are really concerned about expenses or find a small scale job to serve their needs. About career, people have joined in companies like Google and Facebook right after their bachelor degree from India, not always the study place but also knowledge that matters. The ratio of people returning back from Germany is more than The US back to India is because, where there are people going in search of opportunities, companies build platform for them as well. But, comparatively,  the salary that they earn is almost equal to the package a normal IT professional earn if he gets an onsite opportunity from working in India with a good experience. Why people come back from Germany? From statistical report 2014, the reason is not because there are no jobs for them, but Language efficiency. People who have average grades in universities with good communication skills are also working in SAP. Basically, in terms of investment and outcome (because education is all business now), The US - You invest 30 to 40L and earn 40L and above a year. Germany - You invest 13L (OA) and earn 35L and above a year. No country survives without software at least for a few decades from now. It depends on what you want to do in your life to choose a place to study. Yes, The US is much better in terms of standards. But how well is it utilised. It depends on  individual to prove their efficiency. The funniest part is, people who are dropped out from the universities in The US are the most successful.
