Answer:
Listen. Do not walk. RUN away from a law degree. Watch the documentary called Why College is a Scam. Thousands of people get their law degree every year thinking they just made it rich. WRONG. Theyre stuck in student loan debts of hundreds of thousands of dollars they had to pay to get into law school. Do you think every joe that gets a Bachelor in Law becomes a lawyer? Look how many lawyers there are in terms of how many get a law degree in hoping to become lawyer. The ratio is very little. Honestly the degrees you mentioned are not worth the amount of money you will have to pay for the college. HOWEVER, if you are able to get into the college and get these degrees with NO student loans and a bunch of scholarships for free, then GO for it. Otherwise, I say get a trade skill job or get a well rounded degree such as Pharmacy (HUGE market for pharmacists right now as there is a huge demand). A very interesting and good career that may interest you is Forensics. I know a lot of people with degrees in Law that sit around a desk job that a high school graduate is qualified for wishing they had either a. Not went to college and instead went to a technical college b. got a different degree c. entered the work force right after high school to start saving and building their money. You're getting a Bachelors degree in BOTH law and criminology? Do you know that will take you 8 years? Those 8 years are going to cost you about $200,000 for a nice university or around $80,000 for a small college, or around $40,000 for a very small community college. Someone who gets a trade skill certified starts out on average of $30,000-$50,000 a year. It takes them 2 years to get certified. A job immediately after they get certified. They will graduate and get a job on your 3rd year of college. Think about this. While you continue paying probably $100,000 for college in student loans, they will be making $240,000 in those 6 years. (Of course subtracting utilities and taxes it will come out to about $100,000 that goes STRAIGHT into their pockets if they don't buy any wanted goods. I'm not saying getting a degree in college is useless, but in today's market, it just isn't worth the money and time spent. Honestly for certain jobs, do you think they will want someone straight out of college with a piece of paper certifying them, or someone who has had experience working with it for 8 years? Just be careful, because college is a big step, and more and more people each day are waking up only to realize their degree is worthless and they have so much debt they can never pay off in student loans.
