Whats the difference between an RN in Canada and an RN in the US?

    In the US you can get a one year LPN, a 2 year Associates degree or a 4 year BSN. In Canada we have a 2 year LPN or a 4 year BSN. A Canadian RN could work in the US as long as you passed the NCLEX ( US nursing exam). In order to do that you would have to apply to the BON in the state that you wanted to work in.They would assess your education and experience and if you met their requirements they would make you eligible to write the NCLEX.
