Where's a good job for an experienced electronics technician with an engineering background?

  • I am U.S. Navy trained. 16+ years experience in electonics.. I engineer Electronic Filters. No formal education other than the military and OJT.

    Aerospace industry, my sailor friend. Your Navy clearance will be easy to update for the civilian sector, and the pay is good. Try Raytheon, Grumman or General Dynamics. Good starting places. Worked for me.

It would be easy for you to obtain a license to practice eltectricity but with your experience you can be working on the next generation of communications systems, or even develop your own theories on how to emplement safer communications means to deminish fraud and other related issues.

Vancouver Canada. Seriously. If you can get a work visa for Canada then there are lots and lots of jobs in the electrical trades up here. We are gearing up for the Olympics in a few years and there is massive construction and all the spin-off work. Maybe not what you were expecting but there is work here.
