  Hi there, Unfortunately, for students entering the 9th grade there is a time limit to complete courses over the summer. This is the only grade that this is an issue for and it is due to laws surrounding the transition from middle to high school courses. The best thing you can do is stay in contact with your teacher, I know you said that you tried to contact her/him for a few days with no reply. Just keep working! When they contact you back, you should be able to get all of your questions answered, but in the meantime just do everything that you possibly can.
