  Ok a barrel back is normally only on a barrel kit like the freak kit, evil, and other kits like that. If your paint that you use is a .689 a .689 or anythign close to that will work fine. On a barrel back you normally need a special threaded barrel tip made to be used with that barrel back. There are different backs. The freak kits use a back and then barrel incerts for the bore size, while the evil pipe kit uses different backs with different bore sizes. It would help if you gave info like what barrel you are using and what back you are talking about. Here is a vid on barrels.
