Witch reel would cast further?

    Genrally speaking, I think the spinning reel would go father. However, in the hands of a skilled angler, the baitcaster could probably go just as far or not much shorter with moderately heavy baits. It also depends on what rod its on and what size bait you use, as light baits can not go nearly as far as on a baitcaster reel as a spinning reel. Hope this helps!!

In well trained hands, baitcasting reels will cast further for most weights. Baitcasters will also cast thicker lines a lot better. A spinning reel will win only when light weights were used. By the way, the number of bearings will not help a spinning reel's casting distance at all.
