Which is a better reel for pier/jetty fishing the daiwa black gold or penn sargus spinning reel?

hey man, both those reels are great reels. i have used both brands and the ones that i still have are my daiwa. i use the daiwa for pier and surf fish as well as fishing for big cats. both reels will be a great choice but i would go with the daiwa for one reason more than others is the fact that the daiwas are normally cheaper. if the penn is cheaper then go with the penn. what ever you choose will be a great choice. all in all i would go with the daiwa. good luck good fishin be safe and remember to share the experience

the daiwa is a good reel if you targeting larger fish but dosen't cast all that well. if you want a reel that can cast i would get the sargus
