An allergy will show up on allergy tests; an intolerance will not. An allergy usually causes hives, rash, sneezing, or other similar symptoms. An intolerance will cause digestive upset: gas, and diarrhea, and maybe vomiting. A sensitivity will cause you to react to a small amount of the food like a normal person would react to 10-20 times as much.
