  This answer is impossible to answer accurately simply because Comcast has different lineups in every region. For instance, when I lived in Boston, I got NESN (New England Sports Network) with Comcast. But when I moved to Mississippi, it was no longer able to get this channel. But if I had satellite, I would be able to get NESN regardless of where I lived. So trying to compare comcast's channels against either satellite company is impossible unless we know what comcast stations are available in your area. I would also like to point out that both satellite and cable will only provide you with a 720 picture and not 1080. So the quality should be quite comparable.
