This is a COMPLICATED question...I would start by saying if your DENON has HDMI inputs and OUTPUTS and VIDEO UP CONVERSION, then you should run BOTH the AUDIO and the VIDEO from ALL of your other equipment into the DENON first. Then you can just run ONE of the HDMI cables between the TV and the DENON...The television becomes a MONITOR...The only thing you do with it is turn it ON and OFF...The TV stays on the HDMI input forever. When you switch the AUDIO on the DENON from DVD player to cable, the sound AND the picture will change at the SAME time...It's very convenient. The ONLY kicker is that the DENON receiver is the MOST versatile stereo on the market...Even though it WILL allow you to do EVERYTHING you need, reading the MANUAL to figure out how to SET-UP all the inputs and outputs will take you an ENTIRE weekend.

Sounds like you have some nice stuff. I also had a similar situation with my Denon. First check to see if your Denon will support an HD signal (probably will if it's a newer model). If your Denon accepts HDMI that is great. You'll want to be sure you have all of the correct cables. For best results, use HDMI, Component video, and a Digital Audio cable (fiber optic, or coaxial). If you have all of your cables, you are good to go. The tough part is assigning all of these devices. Read the instructions and be patient. If you can't figure it out, maybe have a friend help, or hire a pro if it's too hard (you should be able to figure out). You might even call Comcast or the place you bought your stereo for help. I assume you already have good speakers, but if you don't have them yet, don't cut corners in this area (especially with the center speaker and the sub). Once you have everything set up, your Denon may have come with a microphone to help automatically set up your stereo sound for best acoustics.Another thing to think about is do you want to run sound to the TV also. If you have anyone in the house that just wants sound from the TV, I suggest you use this option as well.
