Why Won't my black ink cartridge work?

I replaced the black ink because it was out and now it won't work... the color and everything works fine... just not when i try to print straight black. How can i fix this? ...show more

Answer:
you might have not installed the cartridge right in your comp. If it is right did you align the cartridges again. or the last thing i can think of is you might not have taken the tape off of the cartridge before installing it.

take out colored cartridge. Leave only black one in printer. Try taking a test print and then revert back.

try to remove the protective coverage at the bottom of the black ink cartridge. its like a sticker that covers the bottom of the cartridge from where the ink comes out. can u tell me which brand is it
