Is studying abroad a good idea?

Would studying abroad in Japan during your senior year be a good idea?

  It all depends on how long you plan on going. If you plan on going during your spring semester, there is nothing stopping you from taking the advanced classes during the fall semester. You should also take all the advanced classes during your junior year, because honestly, you probably will not report to colleges if you're taking a ton of advanced classes during your senior year. Even if you do tell them, they won't get any score reports (with AP tests or anything) until far after you've applied and been accepted/rejected. Going to Japan will look good to colleges, but it will more help you if you plan on majoring in something that deals with Japanese culture. Such as Japanese or International Business or something of the like.
