Who are the members of the civil service?

Do the members of your service club work together or are there a lot of people who stir up trouble?

  • What do you do about unity and how do you build unity in your club. Maybe I'm just frustrated with my service club...What experiences have you gone through.

  • Answer:

LOL....going through problems right now actually. We are from a small town and some of us had to come together and form a Board to save our ice arena. It is to benefit the children in our community, so we planned all sorts ot fund raising ideas. I was not involved at first, not directly anyways, but I did suggest a few things that I researched to my boyfriend. He is very headstrong and told me that some of my ideas just would not fly. So I actually mentioned one of my ideas to a lady in our town and she told me it wasn't a bad idea. Since I was upset with my bf at the time, I just gave up and did not say anything else. During a short period of time he came home and told me that one of the ideas was to have an annual monthly supper, and charge a flat rate for adults and a smaller rate for youth. I was angry but I did not say anything, he also told me he had an idea to offer a great cheeseburger deal for 5 dollars, on a night that our facility was being rented for ice time. After a week he came back and told me some of the members were upset and did not want to volunteer when they had hired a cook for 12 bucks an hour. So I ate my pride and went in to help the cook , my thinking being keep the arena going for our kids no matter what. I do not want to take up the whole answer page ....so I will leave you for now and if you want to hear the rest please e-mail me or use im.

Do not blame others. All fingers are not same. All persons are special, different, have diff. opinion. You should try to tell and listening. Give respect to you and to others. Listen all and more, do less. You will always see diff. opinion in every home, club, caste, road, hospital, school, office, temple, parliament etc. All want remote to view different channel

I am not sure exactly what you mean by "service club", but I will relate this question to the neighborhood watch and council meetings that I attend. Most people want a change, and perhaps the way they interpret their need can sound like they are bitter, frustrated, and just tired of the way things are. I volunteer when I can for community events to help make a difference. Here in California we constantly battle crime, problems with gangs, illegal immigrants depleting our welfare system, and dilapidated public schools. We want change, but get overwhelmed by the desire to create the change. We all want unity in the end. And yes, some people can be troublemakers. Usually the troublemakers are the ones making the trouble, and not making the positive changes. Good luck with your plight, and hang in there. Tomorrow is another day.
