Best way to send photos by e-mail?

What is the best way to minimise the size of photos to send as email attachmnent? I wait a long time to attach

I know you can somehow 'minimise' photos - and have done it once but can't remember exactly what to do.
Answer:

click on your picture and then resize it by using the dots on its side (sorry i 4got the term when you click the pic) just click the pic , resize and you can see the result and if ever you want to cut the unnecessary part of the pic just click the insert go to view and click picture then click the crop and click it to your pic.
