Yes. Some parts of Croydon are surprisingly nice. I saw Ronnie Corbett a few year back and if West Wickham was good enough for Elvis Costello! (Ok West Wickham was Kent by 100 yards) Shirley is nice and good value too. Some of the countryside areas in Surrey are so nice, I doubt that you could afford them!

It does not make a lot of difference,all of Surrey is very similar. All the towns have very similar fascilities, Cobham is very nice, perhaps Guildford has a bit more than most. It is strange that you mention Dorking,I live about 6 miles away,I have lived in Surrey for 35 years,other than the odd meal,I would guess that I have only been to Dorking about 6 times,I cannot stand the town.
