US citizen retiring in Sweden?

If I'm a Swedish citizen, only because my dad is from Sweden, do I still need a visa to live in Sweden?

  • Okay, so I'm 16. And because my dad was born in Sweden, I was able to get citizenship. But even though I have citizenship, do I still need a visa to live in Sweden!?

  • Answer:

Nope. If you're a Swedish citizen, you can live in Sweden (and the rest of UN) without a visa.

Other answers

Obviously not. The moment you're a citizen of an European Union country you need no visa to go there or any any other EU country either. And of course you can move to your country whenever you want.

No, you do not need a visa to live in Sweden. You should get a Swiss passport to live in Sweden and travel throughout Europe.
