My community college offers a 2 year course on secretarial/office software. This is an excellent way to get a nice future working as a secretary. As a mom, you might consider working at a school as a school secretary also. They get school hours, long holidays (same as kids), and summers off. Or, you could even land a job as a day care center secretary.
