What are good entry level jobs for a criminal justice major?

Is it hard finding Entry level mechanical Engineering jobs?

  • Is it hard to find entry level mechanical engineering jobs right now? I am going to an ABET qualified state school. I am also over the 3.0 GPA mark. Is it hard to get entry level jobs?

  • Answer:

Two completely different skill sets. Getting the degree and finding the job. I have seen guys who were idiots get the job because they knew how to interview. Your collage placement service should have resumes and interviewing for dummies classes. But you should be going to the mechanical engineering society meetings. Meetings are basic, you have dinner and someone gives a presentation. But you are having dinner with real world engineers, use them as mentors. Network with them, they often have job leads long before they are posted on the internet. They can also help critique your interview. Unemployment among new engineers is 8%, not bad. New engineers are idiots, you will learn more in your first two years, than you learned in collage. So don't be afraid to take a low ball offer to get your foot in the door. Be prepared to move.
