    Honestly, It's not unless you have good connections. With the economy, most people are just trying to do it themselves or get friends who will do it for free. I do it because my mom is a photographer and all her friends are in that business so they always say "Hey, can you make me a website? I'll pay you for it." That's the easy part. But you can't always depend on that kind of people to help your career out because it surely won't pay the bills. You could work for a company and get a lot of money from it and do extra work on the side that your company doesn't even have to worry about.
