  • Answer:

The corporate websites have some really great internship programs, that can lead to a full time job. I definately recommend checking those out. Many of the ones you listed have really formal programs. I've also included an engineering job site in the sources that might help your search as well. Good luck.

http://www.fluor.com http://www.jacobs.com http://www.indeed.com (This site lists jobs for some of the world's largest construction & engineering companies, including those I have listed). http://www.parsons.com http://www.bechtel.com http://www.thyssenkrupp.com Jacobs and Bechtel are contractors at NASA in Huntsville, AL. All but ThyssenKrupp hold contracts with BP in the Deepwater oil cleanup in the Gulf of Mexico. My husband is a Sr. Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist for Fluor and he said everyone is desperate for PROFESSIONAL people to work in management at the Gulf. (no picking up oil in these jobs). ThyssenKrupp is building a stainless steel mill at Calvert, Alabama, just north of Mobile, AL. They are advertising for hundreds of professional employees on the Indeed.com website. When the mill is finished it will employ about 35,000 people. The steel will be made into flat sheets, loaded on barges, sent down the Tombigbee River to a dock where it is loaded on ships at the Gulf of Mexico and shipped to Germany. Be sure and get the correct spelling of Fluor. Most people spell it Flour and cannot locate the site. I hope this information has been helpful and you will soon have the job of your dreams.

If you've got the means, I suggest traveling to their hiring offices. It's a whole lot harder to turn someone down in person than over the internet.
