    it basically let's you run homebrew and lotsa other stuff(good stuff) on your psp. You need a pandora battery to do that. you also need a magic memory stick to be used in combination to install custom firmware. You can make one yourself but it can get complicated. I bought one for myself from pandorabatt.blogspot.com. the prices there are in Great British Pounds but if you're looking for the prices in US dollars, go to their other site at thestoreuk.ecrater.com.
