Answer:
hello, vista normally needs a minimum of 2GB for running well. But as for me I use Vista with only 1GB of RAM and it works fine due to tweak and optimize it. Here is the link http://www.keep-pc-clean.com/

WARNING: OPEN-CASE SURGERY AHEAD!!! DO NOT ATTEMPT WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE OF COMPUTER HARDWARE!!! To improve your computer's performance, here's a few things you can do. 1) Add More RAM -- Adding more RAM will help in general as your computer won't have to use the virtual RAM space (on your HD). HOWEVER, 32-bit systems can only support up to 4 GB's (3.75 GB to be exact). As for Sims 2 requirements, the OS itself (except for XP) has higher requirements... so you should be OK here. 2) Upgrade your Video card -- Getting a good video card can really make the difference. While you only need a 32 MB video card with T&L capabilities, it doesn't hurt to get a 256 MB or even 512 MB video card... assuming your system supports it. 3) Upgrading your processor -- WARNING: THIS CAN GET VERY EXPENSIVE, VERY QUICKLY! In order to get Sims 2 to run well on all systems, you need at least a 2.0 Ghz processor. Upgrading your processor can help here... assuming you know what you're doing. However, processor upgrades are restricted by your system's motherboard. Whenever you start talking about motherboards, the warning sirens go off as replacing the motherboard usually results in replacing the processor & RAM as you're overhauling your entire system... even if you're keeping the hard drive & expansions cards (like your video card). Whenever an overhaul is concerned... you're probably better off getting a new system as you'll have less headaches & likely a smaller hit to your wallet as well. If you don't know what you need to do, find somebody who's technically inclined (preferably a friend or a family member) to take a look at your system as they'll know what to look at & what your system would likely need before you start picking anything up for your system.
