I just made an MSN and i cant find where to change display name. ppl are telling me tools but i cant find that?

In Messenger, the icon at the very far right of "search contacts or the web..." looks like a button with a small gray box, slightly larger white box (with blue inside) and a white arrow/triangle... it has a black triangle at side of it, pointing down. Click that to see "Tools" in the drop-down menu
