Is there a way to see a converstion I've had on MSN after I've signed out? Are they all stored somewhere?

There was a conversation I had on MSN that I would like to have saved, but I signed out in a rush and forgot to and I'm wondering if there's a way that I can read it again. ...show more

Answer:
It depends what version of Windows Live Messenger (MSN Messenger) you are using. MSN 5.0 and below - This version does not save Chat Logs (proper name for them). MSN 5.5 to Windows Live Messenger 8.5 Beta - Sign in MSN Messenger then go to File then View Message History. It you don't have it set to Save Message History then you will not be able to view your Chat Logs. Windows Live Messenger or Windows Live Messenger 8.5 Beta plus MSG Plus - Go to the button beside the mobile phone (the one that is a funny shape with a exclamation mark in the middle) click it and click Chat Log Viewer. Your Windows Live Messenger should automatically open up your Chat Log Viewer then just choose the month you had that conversation and then the persons e-mail. Web-based MSN (E-buddy) - No Chat Logs are saved on Web-based MSN Messengers. Hope I helped!

Go to ''mychatlogs'' or ''received files'' or something like that. But if you had msn set from its own settings not to save convos then you might look on temp folder or internet files, pending how you got them set up to delete every so often.

Click on file then view message history , and if you originally opted to save messages then it will be there. I have just been having a heated discussion with my sister in Australia regarding an I.M. we had earlier this week and I proved my point by doing just this! lol:-D

Yes you can save future converstaions if you haven't already done so . I think its in tools or preferences or something, it gives you the option of saving convos by checking the box and also where you would like them to be saved.

Go to My documents then go to "my chat logs" folder If you had the option checked to save your conversation then that will be in that folder.
