What are the best fashionable walking shoes for studying abroad?

  • I am going to be studying abroad in Berlin in the Fall and I am looking to buy some good walking shoes that are fashionable and comfortable. I will be walking a lot but I want shoes that go with a lot of outfits. I am thinking of getting some Nike shoes but those are pretty sporty looking. Other shoes I was thinking of getting are the Sperry Top-sider Angel-fish shoes or Keds because they seem comfortable and can work with a lot of outfits. If anyone has any suggestions of good, fashionable walking shoes in a woman's size 7, I would greatly appreciate it. I am looking to spend $90 or less on the shoes. I also have relatively high arches.

    TOMS are very good ! They last a long time, have so many designs, and fit with almost any outfit. I do not have Sperrys, but I have heard from friends that once you break them in, they're incredibly comfortable. For sneakers, I have reeboks. I am a very loyal Reebok fan ! Lightweight, stylish & so comfortable !

My husband & I love our Mephisto shoes. Bought my first pair about 20 years ago,  then took my husband to the shoe store and had the sales person bring out three pairs of walking shoes (one being a pair of Mephisto's) & told the guy not to say anything about the price!  My husband picked the Mephisto's .  I have several pairs of their heels, winter boots and finally a second pair of walking shoes.  Walking 12-16 hours a day and not having your feet or ankles hurt is worth every penny you spend, and no, they are not cheap. Made in France. The styles differ from the US and what they sell in France, less expensive there but not as nice looking.
