Is Skateboarding good exercise?

Is skateboarding almost everyday a good exercise for anything on my body?

  • I skateboard when ever I can which is almost everyday. I am drenched with sweat by the time I'm done. Is this good or bad for me?

    kicking and pushing for a while is good exersice for your legs,man. idunno about the sweat lol :D just drink alot of water otherwise you can get tired really easily...

It's good for you. Especialy when you think that you could drop on the spot. However, you might want to drink as much water as possible after that to replace all that water you lost while sweating.

If your heart rate is increased for over 20 minutes it is considered a workout (dont know the exact BPM), but, is there a skateboarder who hasn't had some sort of injury? Ankles are the statistically most prone for injury. Dangerous extream sport, just don't bail like that cat on the X games, Yikes!
