    Once you have a good understanding of HTML, I'd strongly recommend learning a server-side scripting language like PHP, as well as a database like MySQL. Another good thing to learn is CSS.

I would investigate schools that specialize in web design. For example, University of Computer Technology in Tempe Arizona. DeVry also has courses in web design. http://www.devry.edu/programs/web_graphic_design/about.jsp Consider that web sites are far more than the simple layouts and HTML that you can build with FrontPage. ASP.NET is the .NET Framework namespace that can be used to create and manage the site. Yes, it's something that you should consider. However, there are even newer technologies being introduced that will (in several years) make ASP.NET less important. Web design for commercial sites also means a throrough knowledge of database, business practices, accounting, credit card management, order processing and much, much more. The schools I mentioned (esp. UAT) specialize in these sciences. hth

you definitely need to check out courses on the adobe applications such as: photoshop, flash, and ESPECIALLY Dreamweaver!!!! those will help you out immensely.
