Should I get a 720p plasma 3D, or a 1080p (non-3D) LED TV?

I'm planning on buying either a 40", 42", or 43" TV. In an ideal world, I'd get a 3D 1080p LED, but the budget won't stretch to that. Should I go for the ...show more

Keep in mind that you can not see the difference between 720P and 1080P in screen smaller than a 46".To watch in 3D you will need the following: 3D HDTV, 3D blu ray disc player, 3D blu ray disc movie (at this time there are only about 55 titles in 3D and are mainly animated movies) and a 3D glasses. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on tvs, along with the pro and con of each technology. Last month they reviewed 3 Panasonic Plasma tv in 3D model ST, GT and the top of the line VT. For 2010, they named the Panasonic Plasma tv model VT25 (3D) as the best tv, while 2009 belong to a Pioneer Elite KURO also a Plasma tv. If you read yahoo questions, you will notice that 95% of tv problems comes from LCD/LED tv and 95% of those are the bargain price tv. Hope this will help you out.

If over 37 inches, you want 1080p.! LED's are OK, but I prefer plasma, due to the fast response time, colors and extreme viewing angles.. Plasma TV's, (newer) have the same life as any LCD/LED... Approx, 60,000 hrs.. I would stay away from 3D for now...It's like a toy, little 3D available, other than expensive Blu Ray DVD's......(and many companies now working on glasses-free 3DTV...)

I would rather get a smaller LED tv than a bigger plasma. LED looks much better, while plasmas can have a lot of problems and burn out.
