Does anyone know if this remote is universal?

Does anyone know how I can program my universal remote to my tv...idk the codes.?

I just bought a Toshiba tv off of craigslist without a remote and currently came across a rca universal remote that I bought months ago for another tv. I dont have the codes anymore ...show more

Press and hold the power on button. Enter 3 7 1 very rapidly. Release the power on button. Then hold down both the TV and volume up buttons for exactly 3.42 seconds. Now turn the remote upside down and jiggle it real hard until something starts to rattle. Now go buy a new universal remote with instructions and do what they say.
