Careers in Life Science: What are the job opportunities for a person with Masters in Biotechnology?

  • Ever since I have registered in almost all job portals , I only get offers for medical coding, transcription or a medical representative kind of job. Is this all one can get with master's in biotech ? How do I look for biotech related jobs ? At least till I clear CSIR or GATE.

  • Answer:

I too faced a similar situation after finishing my post-graduation in Microbiology. The sad truth is that the Biotech industries in India generally do not advertise for open positions. Recruitment generally occurs by recommendation from a company employee who can forward your CV to the HR. So you need to know people to get into the industry.
