I slant the paper, so it's oriented like the symbol: /. My hand is always below the writing, so, the ink, etc. can't be smeared. My writing is slanted like the symbol: \.

Interestingly, I have written with my right hand all my life and have recently discovered that my print is much, much more legible when I use my left hand.
