Ditto to the last answer. Also, one major difference between grad and undergrad membership is just the social setting. Both SHOULD be SERIOUS about doing community service etc, but the undergrad experience is a little more fun b/c you get to mix and mingle with other greeks,go to parties, study together, etc.But on the other hand I don't think you would really get the true experience unless u join the grad chapter. These are the ppl who are older, professionals, community leaders that will help you network, find jobs, etc. So as long as you are down for the ture meaning of the sorority, then it really wouldn't matter if you did grad or undergrad.

If you know someone in your community or family who is a member, speak with them. I would not solicit individuals that you do not know well. To sponsor you, someone is saying that they know you well and think highly of your character and work ethic. Those eligible to sponsor are financial and active in the sorority, and take the business of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. seriously. You can not expect someone that you do not know well to vouch for you in this way. Good luck.
