Whats the cost of living in los angeles compared to living in seattle?

Yes, I think the consensus is that LA is more expensive, particularly driven by the cost of housing. However, it is always possible to live modestly. Just watch y our expenses for what i call "leakage." Little items, like those expensive Seattle coffees, add up fast! And with gas so high, try to live near your work.

hard to say because it depends on what part of LA. seattle has gotten expensive in the last ten years, but i would say LA is still higher. LA is pricier when it comes to food, parking/valet, movies and rent. for example. i went to downtown La last week and saw sweeny todd at the movie theatre for 12.50. totally insane

You will find a ONE bedroom in L.A.. (Not even the nice part of L.A) for 1,700 dlls/month. Its expensive here.. You will go from living in a NICE APT to living in a STUDIO for the same price (WITHOUT A PARKING SPOT).. Its expensive.. That's L.A for ya!
