How big of an amp do i need?

I have 2 12inch sony 380w speakers how big of a amp do i need?

  well before wasting your money it'd be a good idea to make sure the subs aren't making the amp shut off (common problem) first check the impedance of the woofers and make sure they are within specs....i imagine yours are 4 ohms per coil...that's a common number. one sub might be like 4.3 ohms and the other might be .5 ohms...which would be the blown one that would make your amp go into protection once you turn it up. after that i've been getting good reviews on sony making a new class d amp that's turning heads...it's about 120 on ebay and it's specs are close to true...unlike most other situations. i believe it's rated at 600 watts RMS which is about right for your situation...even though its true output is more like 533 watts RMS...that is way better than most amps!!!!
