Indians visiting UK on tourist visa, can they visit switzerland from UK without Swiss visa?

i have a cousin from India, and he can't travel to the europe because he has a UK visa and not a European visa, unless it states the visa are actually european and not just UK visa. If its a UK visa then contact home office, and ask them what can you do to get a swiss visa, and if it is a European visa then you can go to Switzerland.

Yes, they most certainly do require a Swiss tourist visa. Swiss visas issued in the UK cost £25. Switzerland is in the process of joining the Schengen Area but does not yet fully participate in the common Schengen visa system; however in your case this is irrelevant since the UK is not, and has no intention of becoming, part of the Schengen Area.
