  Take it from a guy who's been in the music industry for the last 10 years, never (especially as a young female) say that you'll do anything to make it in the industry cuz some people will truly put that to the test! As far as the singer side of your dream, start meeting people that have dreams of becoming songwriter/producers and that have studio equipment. This way you can get a demo put together for free. You're helping them by singing their songs and they're helping you by getting a free demo made. Depending on where you live, it may be easier said than done but hey, no one ever said it would be easy. Believe me though, I'm living proof that it's possible!
