How can I get into film school for directing?

If I graduated law school then tried to pursue film directing but couldnt and returned to law could I ge a job

  • I want to be a film director but couldn't would only had a law degree but no law work experience other than internships in law school would I be able to get a decent job as a law?

  • Answer:

Yes, you could get a legal job. How decent of a job depends on the quality of the law school you went to and your grades. If by "decent" you mean high paying, then you will need superior academic creditials. There are too many lawyers out there, and there is serious competition for jobs.

Might be one of those things where you have to restart your career, so to speak, but I would look at a non-prototypical path, like you could be an agent, or get into entertainment law for a studio... It may be difficult to crack through that seam, but I'm sure you'll be able to conquer that barrier, given appropriate focus and motivation. Most importantly, you have a clear vision for what you want to do, whenever you want to do it, and then you leave the people you are convincing a trail of breadcrumbs to illustrate that your perspective is the logical way. Best of luck, Kubrick!
