  • Answer:

Your application will be electronically rejected by any and every school you choose to apply to until you meet the minimum academic requirements. Most schools require the following: General Biology I, General Biology II, General Chemistry I, General Chemistry II, General Organic Chemistry I, Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology I, Anatomy & Physiology II, College Algebra/Statistics/Calculus, and sometimes Biochemistry. Very few schools require physics. The best thing for you to do is enroll in these science classes ASAP, shadow a lot of physician assistants, and make sure that you are willing to be 100% committed to doing whatever it takes to reach your goal. It's not uncommon for schools to have an acceptance rate of less than 5%, so you have to give it your all.

You really can't. There is no way you could keep up in PA school (which moves really fast) with out a science background. If they were talking about a drug tha affected the Ca channels in the heart, you would have no idea what they were talking about. You are going to have to return to school and take a bunch of science courses and try for some medical experience.
