Why is it so hard to find a job as a medical assistant?

I want to become a medical assistant, is it hard to find a job for medical assistants?

  • I am currently enrolling in a school that has a medical assisting program and I have some, very little, experience as a secretary.

  • Answer:

Great Question!! As a medical recruiter I have seen a constant need for trained health care professionals. There are some great courses you can take from your local college that would go a long way to helping you realize your desired career. I suggest consulting with some of the schools local to you. many of them offer after graduation job seeking support. You can see a lot of jobs available right now. http://peoplemenders.com/SearchCareers.aspx There are a lot of specialized community colleges out there that have programs specifically designed for medical assistant type positions. Have a look at the Sprott-Shaw college courses for a better idea: http://sprottshaw.com/programs/
