    Becoming an LPN is the way to do. MAs don't make much above minimum wage and LPNs make $20 an hour on average. There are no MA-RN programs. There are, however, LPN-RN programs. Try a technical school. Also, look at your state's board of nursing for a list of accepted LPN programs. By the way, LPN programs are 12-18 months. Mine was 12.
