What is a really girly username?

What should I do when the email username that I want has already been taken?

  • Any good idea for another username? The username that I want which has been taken is from Gmail. I found the username is available on Outlook. I just wonder which one seems more professional (Gmail or Outlook or personal domain or others)? And which username seems more professional? firstnamelastname firstinitiallastname firstname.lastname etc...

    Use a different username, or switch to outlook. the 3rd one is most professional I'd say.

Gmail (http://gmail.com/) and Outlook (http://outlook.com/) are both free services and none of them seem/look professional. Gmail don't care about dots (.) in the e-mail address but any combination you suggest above are OK. Get your own domain and then you can have any email address you want - of course the domain you want may very well be taken as well.

I would go for firstname.lastname, if it is still used add a familiar number to the end.

Try adding your country's domain name after your name and before the @. For example: firstname.in@http://gmail.com That usually makes it unique.
