Why does my MSN keep turning off?

Keep msn off when turning the computer on?

  • everytime i turn my computer on, msn opens. is there any way to keep it off so that it only opens when i click the msn icon? thanks! (btw i have windows 7...)

    Hey there, You can disable this Automatic Start up program in Windows 7 by clicking your Start Icon(The button on the bottom right on your desktop). Then type "Run" in the text box above that Start Icon. Type Msconfig once the run window has appeared. This will bring you to another window which you can click on the "Startup" tab. Scroll down to MSmsgs and uncheck the check box. Do the same for any and all programs that you do not want to start up when you turn your PC on. This does not delete the program, it just stops it from turning itself on when you boot up. Make sure to check off the box for the Msconfig window not to show up after you reboot, because it will be the first pop-up. You can also download CCleaner, which will get rid of junk on your PC and have an option to disable start-up programs. This is a more user-friendly program to do things like this! Good Luck!
