You can keep an eye on The Bloodhorse classifieds http://classifieds.bloodhorse.com/ or Equistaff:http://www.equistaff.com/ T There are other equine job search engines out there and you can google them. Your best bet would be to put together a resume showing your experience - I suggest a student resume. Here are some examples: http://jobsearch.about.com/od/sampleresume1/Sample_Student_Entry_Level_Resumes.htm After creating your resume and cover letter, call the larger farms, Claiborne, Darley, WinStar, etc. Explain your situation (briefly) to whomever does the hiring and ask if you can email or fax your resume to them. Even if they don't have current openings, they may keep your resume on file. It can be daunting to make that first phone call, however, most people at the farms are very nice. Another suggestion, contact sales agencies and the racetrack. Often they need help with sales prep during the sales and/or racing meets. A friend of mine worked for a sales agency one year, then was hired by Churchill Downs in their marketing dept. while he attended UK Equine studies program. I wish you well in your endeavors!
