How to do a scratch spin without going on the toepick?Figure skating?

i have to learn my scratch spin for a test. when ever i spin i always go on my toe pick instead of the center of my blade(the ball some people call it). help please

I would get a spinner, they arn't that expensive and they are used very well. You can practice upright spins with it and even camel spins. Then on the ice concentrate staying on the ball of your foot when spinning. I never had this problem, so sorry if I'm not any help :/

Try to find your "Sweet spot" or your center of balnce where you spin. You can do this by skateing backwards and lifting the back of your blad untill you only have a thin line drawn. Or if you are going on your toepick a lot it is probbly because you are leaning forward to much and try to stand stright up when you spin.
